School Introduction |
The School of Electronic Information Engineering is one of the rapidly developing colleges at Hebei University of Technology, with 30 full-time professors, 13 part-time professors, 36 associate professors, 32 doctoral supervisors (4 external supervisors), and 77 master's supervisors (9 external supervisors). The college currently has 2617 undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students. It has a good research and teaching platform, favorable conditions for technological innovation and talent cultivation, and a good academic atmosphere. It has extensive exchanges and cooperation with domestic and foreign universities, research institutes, institutes, and enterprises. The college has three research and talent cultivation platforms, including the Tianjin Key Laboratory of Electronic Materials and Devices, the Collaborative Innovation Center for Electronic Devices and Systems, and the 12th Five Year National Electronic and Communication Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center; Having three research institutes: Microelectronics Research Institute, Micro Nano Electronics and Information Technology Research Institute, and Communication Measurement and Control Technology Research Institute; There are three undergraduate majors, among which the Department of Electronic Science and Technology has passed the Quality Engineering Education Certification, and the Department of Electronic Information Engineering and the Department of Communication Engineering are provincial-level brand characteristic majors. |
Major Introduction |
The Electronic Science and Technology major has twice passed the certification of China Engineering Education and is a first-class undergraduate major in Hebei Province. At the same time, it has been selected as a national first-class undergraduate major construction site. The discipline where the major is located is a key discipline in Hebei Province and Tianjin City, as well as a national first-class discipline key construction discipline. It has the authority to grant master's and doctoral degrees and has a postdoctoral research station in the first level discipline of Electronic Science and Technology. The characteristic of this major is closely related to the development of modern electronics and information technology, with new electronic devices and optoelectronic devices, integrated circuits and systems, and electronic technology applications as the main teaching content. It cultivates innovative engineering and technical talents, management talents, and entrepreneurial talents in the field of electronic information who have a solid foundation in basic theory and master modern microelectronics, optoelectronics, and applied electronics technology. |
Educational System |
The Educational System is a comprehensive, four-year undergraduate framework designed to cultivate high-quality engineering talents with solid theoretical foundations and strong practical capabilities. It features a three-tiered curriculum structure:foundation layer, such as mathematics, physics, and engineering fundamentals, professional layer, such as circuit analysis, signal processing, semiconductor physics, microelectronics, optoelectronics, application layer, such as specialized courses in microelectronics, optoelectronics, and electronic technology applications.
|
Training Objectives |
The training objectives of the Electronic Science and Technology major are to cultivate high-quality specialized talents in the field of electronic information who are engaged in production operation and technical management, engineering design, technology development, scientific research, and other related fields such as microelectronics, optoelectronics, and electronic technology applications. |
Curriculum Plan |
The entire training program includes approximately 169 credits, including general courses, subject foundation courses, and professional courses, which include rich in class and out of class practical experience. The core courses include Integrated Circuit Principles and Design, Microelectronic Devices, Optoelectronic Devices and Technology, Embedded Systems, Microcontroller Principles and System Design, Comprehensive Application of EDA Technology, Integrated Circuit Simulation and Comprehensive Design, Comprehensive Experiment of Optoelectronic Technology, and Comprehensive Experiment of Semiconductor Physics and Devices. |
Faculty Resources |
The professional teaching team is strong, consisting of 13 full-time teachers in the department, plus more than 30 researchers and teachers from the college’s Microelectronics Research Institute and Advanced Laser Technology Research Institute who also teach for this major. The team includes 3 national-level talents, 2 provincial teaching masters, 2 provincial "top talents", and 4 university-level teaching masters. |
The program boasts broad and promising employment prospects, aligned with national strategies like semiconductor autonomy and 5G/6G development. Graduates are highly sought-after in microelectronics, optoelectronics, integrated circuits, and emerging fields such as quantum electronics and new energy electronics. Leveraging the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei industrial cluster advantage, they secure positions at leading enterprises including Huawei HiSilicon, BYD, CETC, and SMIC, as well as research institutes. Roles range from IC design engineers and optoelectronic device developers to technical managers, with competitive salaries and strong career growth. The industry-education integration model and solid practical training equip graduates with core competencies, enabling them to excel in technology R&D, engineering design, and project management. Many also pursue further studies at top universities, laying a solid foundation for advanced technical or academic careers.
