School Introduction |
The School of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science was established in April 2018, formed by the department of Control Science and Engineering and Computer Science and Software. Artificial intelligence is becoming the core driving force for a new round of industrial transformation, accelerating the leap from digitalization and networking to intelligence in various fields of the economy and society. Therefore, the development of artificial intelligence has become a major strategy to enhance national competitiveness and maintain national security. The establishment of the School of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science is an important decision made by the school in the context of the new stage of artificial intelligence development, in line with the national science and technology development strategy, and in line with the demand for technology and talent in the development of the intelligent industry. The aim is to fully leverage the advantages of control and computer disciplines in the field of artificial intelligence discipline foundation and talent cultivation, and form a high-end talent accumulation effect, Cultivate new engineering talents in the field of artificial intelligence, explore new models of industry university research cooperation in the intelligent industry, and form new disciplinary growth points; It is also an important measure to optimize the layout of disciplinary construction and promote the development of interdisciplinary integration in the "Double First Class" construction of schools. |
Major Introduction |
The discipline of control science and engineering has a profound historical background and significant achievements in team building. The discipline has a first-class doctoral program and is an important support for the national "world-class discipline" discipline group. In the fourth round of 2016 and the fifth round of 2021, the controlled discipline evaluation scores were both B -, and it was approved as a postdoctoral research mobile station based on this discipline. The discipline mainly includes three directions: (1) Pattern recognition and intelligent systems; (2) Control theory and control engineering; (3) Detection technology and automation devices. The advantages are reflected in: promoting the construction of national standards and industrial development for intelligent manufacturing of rehabilitation aids, and entering the international market of rehabilitation aids; Breaking through the technology of multi-scale visual feature transfer and control for robots across scenes; Solved the problem of high-frequency sampling in robot formation control; Conquered the operation and maintenance control technology of wind and solar power plant clusters; Promote targeted poverty alleviation through green energy services, the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, and the development of new industries in Xiong'an New Area. Master the solid and broad basic theories and in-depth specialized knowledge of the discipline of control science and engineering, comprehensively and deeply understand the current situation, development direction, and international academic frontiers in the research field of control science and engineering and related disciplines. Proficient in applying theoretical analysis methods, experimental research methods, and computer technology in control science and engineering disciplines, possessing the ability and literacy to independently engage in scientific research work, and making creative achievements in science or specialized technology. 3. Possess good skills in writing foreign scientific papers and international academic exchanges. 4. Capable of teaching, research, engineering, technology development, and management related to higher education institutions, research institutions, and industrial departments. |

Graduate courses are divided into degree courses, non degree courses, and other training stages. Degree courses include public degree courses and subject basic courses, while non degree courses include subject elective courses, interdisciplinary elective courses, and public elective courses. Other training programs include academic presentations and activities. Academic activities in other training stages for doctoral students must meet one of the following conditions: A. Participate in at least 10 academic activities, and write a summary of each academic activity; B. Participate in at least 5 academic activities, each time writing a summary of the academic activities, and attend at least 1 domestic and international academic conference, and present papers at the conference. |

There are currently 55 full-time teachers in the discipline, including 27 doctoral supervisors, 41 master's supervisors, and 10 introduced teachers. We have established 6 national, provincial, and ministerial level scientific research and teaching platforms, and have honors such as Hebei Province Course Ideological and Political Demonstration Course and Teaching Team. The discipline adheres to the principle of cultivating students with moral character, cultivating high-level professional and technical talents with a strong sense of social responsibility and patriotism, as well as a pioneering and innovative spirit, who have comprehensive development in morality, intelligence, physical fitness, aesthetics, and labor. The cultivation goal of doctoral students is to master advanced theories and technologies of complex systems, possess independent innovation ability, and have good academic ethics, focusing on the international academic forefront of control science and engineering and national major needs. In the past five years, the discipline has been approved for 7 national key projects, 11 other national level projects, 55 provincial and ministerial level projects, and more than 45 million scientific research project funds. Published over 300 high-level journal articles, authorized 112 invention patents, and won 4 provincial and ministerial level science and technology awards. |
Employment Prospects |
In the past five years, there have been 48 doctoral students and 264 graduate students trained in the discipline. The employment situation is as follows: 13 teachers in higher education institutions, 4 in research and design units, 45 in state-owned enterprises, 7 in foreign-funded enterprises, 1 in the military, and 45 in other public institutions. The majority of graduates who go to private institutions sign contracts with influential companies in the industry, such as JD.com and BYD. |
