Hebei University of Technology is located in Tianjin, under the jurisdiction of Hebei Province. It is a "World-Class Dis Construction University", a key construction university of the "211 Project", and has been selected for the "Middle and Western China University Fundamental Capacity Construction Project" the "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Program" of the Ministry of Education, the first-level school of Hebei Province's "National First-Class University Construction" Tianjin's High-level Characteristic University Construction Project, the National Construction of High-level Universities Public Graduate Student Program, Chinese Government Scholarship Foreign Student Reception Institution National New Engineering Research and Practice Project, and the first batch of High-level University Scientific and Technological Achievement Transformation and Technology Transfer Base, and a member unit of CD Engineering Education Alliance. |
Major Introduction |
The subject of Materials Science and Engineering began with the Department of Machinery of Nankai Industrial College in 1903, and it developed after the establishment of the specialty of Metallography and Heat Treatment in 1952. The college has built a national key discipline of Material Physics and Chemistry, a national postdoctoral scientific research mobile station, and a doctoral degree point of the first-level discipline of Materials Science and Engineering. It has built 6 provincial-level scientific platforms, such as key laboratories of the Ministry of Education, Hebei Province, and Tianjin Municipality, and Hebei Province International Cooperation Base. The subject one of the core disciplines of the world-class discipline group of "Advanced Equipment Engineering and Technology" and an important supporting discipline of the jointly built national key laboratory by the province and ministry. Since November 2016, it has entered the top 1% of ESI in the world, and its ranking has been rising rapidly, ranking 24th in the world at present, and entering the top 2.1‰. |

Training Objectives |

To fully understand the current research status, development direction, and international academic frontier of this discipline; to master the and broad theoretical foundation and systematic and in-depth professional knowledge and practical skills of this discipline; to have good scientific and cultural literacy and the ability to independently carry out scientific research solve major engineering technology problems; and to make innovative scientific and technological research results. |
Curriculum Plan |
The training plan for doctoral students includes a curriculum learning plan and a thesis work plan. The curriculum learning plan consists of courses and training components including compulsory courses, core courses, and elective courses. Compulsory and core courses belong to degree courses, while elective courses belong to non-degree courses. Training components academic activities and academic reports. Under the guidance of the supervisor, doctoral students should formulate a curriculum learning plan within one week after enrollment, which should be implemented after approval by discipline and the college. The courses listed in the curriculum learning plan should meet the curriculum setting and credit requirements of the training program of this discipline. After the curriculum learning plan is formulated it must be strictly implemented. If there is a need for changes, an application should be submitted before the relevant courses are offered, and it can be implemented after approval by the, the college, and the graduate school. |
